This course is intended for those who will be taking the following End Point Assessments: AM2, AM2E or AM2S.

Course Overview:

The AM2 assessment is a big investment and hugely important and potentially stressful to individuals who could soon be taking it.
This course will develop your skills and fill any knowledge gaps that you may have relating to the assessment. The course will be delivered in a friendly open atmosphere and questions will be encouraged.
You will also get access to our multiple-choice practice exam. This can be completed on your mobile device and gives you the correct answers complete with referencing to documentation.

  • Overview of the NET pre-assessment manual and candidate readiness checklist.
  • Compare the most common errors made during assessment and ensuring the correct outcome can be achieved.
  • Identify and demonstrate safe isolation of circuits.
  • Types of cables and terminations, good and bad practice.
  • Understand 2 way and intermediate lighting circuit wiring.
  • Understand ring final circuits wiring.
  • Understand a Direct-On-Line (DOL) starter terminations and overload settings.
  • Understand S plan central heating typical wiring diagrams.
  • Confirm CAT5e data terminations, wiring standards.
  • Understand different fault protective devices.
  • List the fault-finding techniques to enable efficient and safe fault diagnosis.
  • Confirm understanding of the correct use of a Multi-Functional Tester (MFT) and Network Cable Tester.
  • Understand how to test and inspect a test rig and complete an Electrical Installation Certificate (EIC).
  • Understand how to test and identify a range of faults introduced to a test rig and complete a Fault Finding Sheet.
